Project Results

The main objective of the project is to develop an improved technique and technology for alternating-row crop cultivation using the strip-till one-pass method while meeting the individual agronomic requirements of plant species grown in mixtures. As a result, the project aims to obtain a significantly improved mixture of cereal grains and legume seeds intended as concentrated feed for livestock, in line with the objectives of agricultural decarbonisation and the European Green Deal.

Results of the Operation

  • Development of an improved alternating-row cultivation technology with individualised agronomic parameters for each crop component within the mixture.
  • Development of improved components within the Mzuri Pro-Til machine, adapted for sowing cereal-legume mixtures with individually adjusted parameters for each component of the mixture.
  • Publication of one scientific paper in scientific journals.

These results will translate into the following benefits for members of the Operational Group:

  • An improved product within the offer of MZURI WORLD Sp. z o.o.
  • Higher yields and improved crop quality achieved by farmers compared to pure sowings of individual mixture components or conventional mixed sowings.
  • Increased competitiveness of farmers and improved financial performance through reduced fuel and fertiliser consumption, lower use of chemical plant protection products, and shorter working time.

Benefits for Farmers Not Directly Participating in the Operation

  • Access to new technologies and equipment enabling higher production efficiency.
  • For livestock breeders – the possibility of using domestically produced starch-protein concentrated feed.

An additional benefit of the operation will be its positive contribution to the implementation of the EU Green Deal policy. Reducing the number of agricultural machinery passes through strip-till cultivation will lower CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere, reduce water loss from soil and degradation of organic matter, and, thanks to reduced soil disturbance, positively impact biodiversity.
